My tax money at work

"To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."
-- Thomas Jefferson

Our new president today signed an order to once again allow government aid to organizations that promote and even conduct abortions.

I am vehemently opposed to abortion. It is quite simply killing an unborn child. Sure, we can play logic or word games to decide when life begins, but to me, quite simply, human life is precious and the smallest and most defenseless among us deserve our protection.

The most vocal proponents of abortion availability are organizations such as Planned Parenthood, who grew out of an eugenics delusion. China has gladly used it for population control, in a manner that actually fulfils the UN definition of genocide. The most common argument I hear for abortion is "I would never have one, but I think it should be available to other women." In text it's difficult to convey the underlying tone, "It's too unimaginable for me to go through, but good enough for those other people." Undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood cast light on a money-hungry, ethics-deficient (did I mention racist?) organization.

Nevertheless, regardless of each person's views on abortion, it is a highly controversial subject, with serious moral, ethical, and religious ramifications. Once again (Clinton reverted Reagan's original ban), my government has elected to spend my tax money to fund organizations that perform repulsive (or hotly debated, if you think abortions are just another medical procedure) actions on children in, here we go, third world countries. You know, those people living in squalor over there who can't feed their own children. Yes, I am now helping pay for genocide against people simply because we think we know better than them, whether they should reproduce. Surely you know that population growth rates are historically inversely proportional to average education levels. Maybe we should try actually teaching these people instead of managing them for their own good and our sadistic liberal warm fuzzies.

This makes me sick.

Thanks, President Obama. I'm sure you, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid are working on plenty more ways to pervert our great nation.
